After newly shifted dragon Queen, Margery Cooper, is rescued from smugglers she has a choice to continue to hunt down the story that nearly killed her when she was an investigative reporter or embrace her royalty and build a court of protectors and studs. Remy “Champ” Champlain is first on the scene and assigned her protector while she sorts out her affairs. He wants nothing more to get back to his solitude and his small town, but as an unclaimed dragon he doesn’t get a choice.

The Queen is his responsibility until her court is formalized. He wants to settle her down right away, but she has this wild hair up her Queenly butt to find out who is smuggling dangerous drugs into the country.

Sparks fly between them, but as she's a sky dragon and he's a water dragon, well she can't swim and he can't fly and those aren't the only differences they're facing.

GUEST POST
Famous Queens

The Emerging Queens series is about women who should have become dragon shifters at puberty, but because of a curse, were denied that development. However once the curse is lifted, dragon Queens are sprouting up all over the place and it's really wreaking havoc with the status quo. The plot of The Queen's Dance features Margery who wants to expose a dangerous drug ring that she had been tracking before her shift into a dragon Queen. But because dragon Queens are rare, her protector, Remy doesn't want her to do anything to risk herself. It becomes apparent rather quickly that this story is much more dangerous than she realized and both their lives are at risk. During all of this, Remy a lake dragon without wings, and Margery, a sky dragon, are truly opposites who attract and while they know they have no future because of their differences they decide to act on their attraction but not fall in love. It doesn't quite work out the way they plan. It's a fast paced, steamy read.

Because this is the third book in the series, it can be a little hard to keep track of who is who. Here’s a helpful list of all the Queens in the series . . . so far.

Before the events in The Queen's Wings there were only five female dragons left in the world. They are referred to as The Old Queens and held the following territories.
Cassandra -Ireland, Scotland, & Wales
Lerisse - France, Italy, India, & Africa
Esmeralda - North & South America
Choyo - Saudia Arabia, Indonesia, Japan
Hui Zhong - Russia & China

After the events in The Queen's Wings, hundreds of Queens who were suppressed from shifting into dragons at puberty were released.
Carolyn chose consort Reed (The Queen's Wings) - temporary territory Connecticut, USA
Arianna chose consort Jack - temporary territory New York, USA
Viola chose consort Sergei (The Queen's Flight) - temporary territory Greenland with Vermont land rights.
Mei Hua chose human protector Joachim, Head of the Order of Dragon Slayers (The Queen’s Choice)- Italy
Bianca chose consort Byron (The Queen's Mystery) - temporary territory Rhode Island, USA

After the events in The Queen's Flight, half the emerging Queens are missing and others are being hosted by the elder Queens until the Queen's Conclave next year. Here are the found Queens and their locations.
Dierdre chose consort Fontaine (The Queen's Plight) - temporary territory Washington DC & Virginia, USA
Margery chose consort Remy (aka Champ) (The Queen's Dance) - temporary territory New Jersey, USA with Vermont land rights.

Queens who were being hosted at Cassandra’s castle: Idira, Nalia, Marisol, Adanna, Eva, Zoe, Sofia, Rika, Xiaoling, Miriam.

The unattached studs
Casimiro - A famous Latin singer, this dragon shaman can seduce human women through his magic.
Niall - The Great Wyrm of Yale spends most of his time in his research and hasn't a preference to play the Queen game -- for himself anyway. He's very interested in seeing his sons, Reed, Byron and Fontaine, happily settled.
Rathin - Indian prince, Rathin has a fine museum and spends his time collecting artifacts and finances archeological digs.
